Click Convert to PNG. There is no quality slider: PNG saves the decoded image without additional lossy compression.
Preview the PNGs and compare actual file sizes. Download one result or collect the batch in a ZIP.
A PNG copy is useful when an upload form, document workflow or image editor specifically requires PNG. Converting keeps the decoded image’s detail without adding another JPEG compression step.
PNG cannot bring back detail that was already lost in the original JPG. It also does not make the background transparent. Photographic PNGs are often much larger, so keep JPG when you mainly need a smaller file to share.

Select JPG or JPEG files, then click Convert to PNG. Preview each result and download it as a .png file, or download the batch as a ZIP.
It avoids a new round of lossy compression, but it cannot recover detail lost when the JPG was created. The conversion stores your browser’s decoded image in PNG format.
No. JPG images do not contain transparency. Converting to PNG keeps the existing background; it does not remove it.
PNG uses lossless compression, while JPG can discard detail to reduce file size. Photographs converted to PNG are often substantially larger. This tool converts the format rather than promising a smaller file.
PNG does not use the JPG quality scale. FileTavi saves PNG output without additional lossy compression, so this converter does not need a quality slider.
Yes. JPG and JPEG are two filename extensions for the same image format. Both are accepted. The browser applies image orientation metadata while decoding, so a portrait photo keeps its displayed orientation. Pixel dimensions follow that orientation; there is no resizing. Original metadata is not retained.
No. Conversion happens in your browser on your device. FileTavi does not receive your images. Keep this tab open until you have downloaded your results.
Add up to 20 files per batch, up to 50 MB each and 150 MB total. Each image can contain up to 24 million pixels, with neither side exceeding 16,384 pixels. Converted results are limited to 200 MB per tab. Your device’s available memory can impose lower practical limits.
