THREE SMALL STEPS

A smaller document. A clearer focus.

01

Open your PDF

Choose a PDF from your device. Browse its page previews and check where the pages you need appear.

02

Keep the right pages

Tick individual pages or enter a range such as 1-3, 5. Choose one combined PDF or a separate PDF for each page.

03

Take them with you

Download your extracted PDF or the ZIP of page PDFs. Each separate file includes its original page number in the filename.

JUST THE PAGES THAT MATTER

Make room for the relevant part.

Save a chapter from a report, keep the pages needed for an application or split scanned documents into individual PDF files. Your source stays on your device.

Extracted pages retain their text, images, page size and orientation. The preview is scaled for your screen; the exported document contains copied PDF pages. This tool does not run OCR, compress to a target size or securely redact hidden content.

GOOD TO KNOW

A little more clarity.

The details behind your download.

How do I split a PDF or extract pages?

Choose a PDF, preview its pages and select the pages you need using checkboxes or page ranges. Choose One PDF to save the selected pages in one new document, or Separate PDFs to create one PDF for each selected page in a ZIP.

Are my PDF and results uploaded?

No. Reading, previewing, extracting pages and creating the ZIP happen in your browser on your device. FileTavi does not receive your PDF or results. No account or signup is required.

How do page numbers and ranges work?

Page numbers start at 1, based on the position in the PDF rather than printed page labels. Enter ranges separated by commas, such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. Duplicates are removed and pages keep their original PDF order. Each separate file is named with its original page number. Previews show up to eight pages at a time, or four on phones.

Will text and image quality be preserved?

Selected PDF pages are copied without turning them into pictures or re-encoding their images. Existing text, fonts, page sizes, crop areas and rotation are retained. Searchable text normally stays searchable, while scans do not gain searchable text. Previews are scaled images for your screen; export copies the actual PDF pages.

What happens to forms, links, bookmarks and signatures?

Supported form fields with saved appearances become static page content. Interactive links, bookmarks, accessibility tags, attachments, multimedia and digital signature verification are not carried over. Static annotation appearances are retained where supported. This is a page-copying tool, not a secure redaction tool; shared resources may remain in a copied page. Keep your originals and review the output.

Can I use protected, layered or damaged PDFs?

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before using this tool. Layered PDFs, XFA forms and form fields without usable saved appearances need a standard flattened PDF copy first. The tool does not repair damaged PDFs. Some very large embedded images or specialized content may not have browser previews; you can still export selected pages and review the PDF in a viewer.

What are the limits?

Open one PDF up to 50 MB and 100 pages. Select one or more pages. The extracted PDF, or all separate page PDFs combined, is limited to 200 MB, plus a small allowance for ZIP headers. Large shared resources can make separate PDFs larger than the source. Select fewer pages if a result is too large. Your device may have lower practical memory limits.

Can I cancel or change the selection after exporting?

Yes. Cancelling keeps your source PDF and page selection available. An unfinished export does not offer a partial PDF or ZIP. Changing the page selection or output mode clears previous results. Clear the PDF, refresh or close the page to release files from the tool. Files you downloaded stay on your device.
