Click Convert to PNG. Existing transparent and semi-transparent areas stay transparent; no quality slider or background fill is needed.
Compare the original and PNG on a checkerboard background. Save individual images or collect your batch in one ZIP.
A saved WebP may need a different format for an image editor, presentation or upload form. PNG is useful for logos, stickers and other graphics where an existing transparent background needs to stay transparent.
PNG stores your browser’s decoded image without another lossy compression step. It cannot restore detail already lost in a lossy WebP or remove an opaque background. The PNG may be larger, so compare the actual file sizes and keep your original.

Yes. Existing transparent and semi-transparent areas in a static WebP are kept in the PNG. If your original has an opaque background, it stays opaque: this tool does not remove backgrounds.
PNG avoids another lossy compression step, but it cannot recover detail lost when a lossy WebP was created. FileTavi saves the image decoded by your browser. Color appearance can vary with your browser and display.
WebP can be very compact. PNG uses lossless compression and can create a larger file, especially for photos. It does not use the JPG quality scale, so no quality slider is shown. Compare the actual sizes before downloading.
This converter accepts static WebP images only. Animated files are rejected rather than silently exporting just one frame or losing their animation.
No. Conversion happens in your browser on your device. FileTavi does not receive your images. Keep this tab open until you have downloaded your results.
FileTavi does not resize your image. Original metadata such as comments and camera information is not retained when the pixels are re-encoded. Color appearance can vary with your browser and display. The displayed orientation follows your browser’s decoding. Use a current browser with WebP support.
Add up to 20 files per batch, up to 50 MB each and 150 MB total. Each image can contain up to 24 million pixels, with neither side exceeding 16,384 pixels. Converted results are limited to 200 MB per tab. Your device’s available memory can impose lower practical limits. Only static WebP images are supported.
