THREE SMALL STEPS

Choose the pixels. Keep the proportions.

01

Bring your images

Choose JPG or PNG images, or drop a mixed batch into the workspace. Add up to 20 at a time.

02

Set your dimensions

Choose a width, height or percentage. Each image keeps its own proportions. Enable enlargement only if you want smaller images to grow.

03

Check and download

Compare original and resized dimensions, preview the result and check actual file sizes. Download individual images or one batch ZIP.

A SIZE THAT FITS

A new size, with your proportions intact.

A photo can be too wide for a document, a product listing or a web upload. Setting a width or height changes the other side proportionally. Percentage mode applies the same scale to every image, even when their original sizes differ.

Pixel dimensions and file size are different. A resized file can still be larger after encoding. PNG keeps existing transparency; JPG is re-encoded and can lose detail. Enlarging adds pixels but cannot restore lost detail. Keep your originals for editing.

GOOD TO KNOW

A little more clarity.

The details behind your resized image.

How do I resize an image by pixels or percentage?

Add JPG or PNG images, choose Width in pixels, Height in pixels or Percentage, enter a whole number and click Resize images. The other dimension is calculated proportionally for each image. Check the actual result dimensions before downloading.

Which image formats can I resize?

This tool accepts JPG, JPEG and JFIF files containing JPEG data, plus static PNG images. You can mix them in a batch. Animated PNGs and other formats are rejected with a message. Convert WebP or HEIC with the relevant FileTavi tool first.

Will my image be cropped or stretched?

No. All three resize modes keep the image’s proportions. The other side is rounded to the nearest whole pixel, with at least one pixel on each side. There is no cropping or stretching. Display orientation follows your browser’s decoding.

Can I enlarge a small image?

Enlargement is off by default. If a requested width, height or percentage would enlarge an image, its original displayed dimensions are kept and clearly reported. Enable Allow enlargement to increase them. More pixels do not restore sharpness or detail missing from the source.

Will the format, transparency, quality and metadata change?

JPG inputs produce JPG files re-encoded at 95% quality, which can change detail even without resizing. PNG inputs produce PNG files and retain existing transparency using lossless encoding of the resized pixels. Original EXIF, comments and camera metadata are not retained. Color appearance and resizing can vary by browser. File size can increase.

Can I batch resize images of different sizes?

Yes. The selected width, height or percentage applies to each image independently, with its own aspect ratio. Download results separately or in a ZIP with unique names. Changing a resize setting clears previous results so an outdated image cannot be downloaded by mistake.

Are my images uploaded or stored on a server?

No. Resizing happens in your browser on your device. FileTavi does not receive your selected images. Keep this tab open until you have downloaded your results.

What are the size and file limits?

Add up to 20 images, up to 50 MB each and 150 MB total. Both input and output are limited to 24 million pixels and 16,384 pixels on either side; oversized inputs are rejected even if you intend to shrink them. Width and height settings accept 1–16,384 pixels, and percentage mode accepts 1–400%. If a requested result exceeds these limits, choose a smaller size or percentage and retry. Results are limited to 200 MB per tab, and device memory can impose lower practical limits.
